In 2019, Gareth met Lucy and Francis at a networking event, and that chance meeting ignited a spark that would eventually culminate in the creation of an immersive ghost experience in Chester. Given Chester’s reputation as one of the world’s most haunted cities, the idea felt like a natural fit.
The Covid pandemic put a temporary halt to their plans, but finally, just before Halloween 2023, the first performance of The Dead Good Ghost Tour went live. Here’s a look at the passionate team behind this spine-tingling experience.
The Team Behind the Tour
Lucy and Francis first crossed paths while working at the prestigious Liverpool Everyman Theatre. It didn’t take them long to realise they shared a mutual passion for teaching. Lucy, with her teaching experience in the South, and Francis, in the North, decided to combine their expertise and establish the North West End Acting School—a unique, contemporary, and vibrant acting school located in the heart of Chester.
With a combined 35 years in the entertainment industry and an impressive list of credits, Lucy and Francis bring a wealth of diverse and spectacular performing experience to the table. Their extensive work includes London’s West End, the Royal Court, and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), as well as numerous TV credits in popular shows such as EastEnders, Casualty, Doctors, Coronation Street, and Cutting It, to name just a few.
Gareth, meanwhile, is an avid fan of horror and ghost stories. Since 2017, he has created a number of multi-award-winning tours across the North West. “It’s been brilliant to partner up with Lucy and Francis and create an immersive ghost experience for Chester,” he says.
